Member Bio

𝗠𝗔𝗫𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟 (𝗠𝗔𝗫) 𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗟 Maxwell Temmel is a professional mixed martial artist, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and martial arts coach based in Victoria, British Columbia. With a diverse background in Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, and MMA, Max brings years of training and competitive experience to the mats. A second-degree black belt in Karate, Max continues to develop his grappling and striking skills while training at Van Isle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts Unlimited. Beyond his competitive career, Max is dedicated to teaching and mentoring others. He actively coaches both children and adults on a daily basis, sharing his knowledge, technical skills, and passion for martial arts. Through his continued training, competition, and coaching, Max remains an active contributor to the Vancouver Island martial arts community.

Competition History

Max Temmel established a 4–1 amateur MMA record, including multiple submission victories. In 2024, he captured the Battlefield Fight League Amateur 160 lb Championship with a first-round triangle choke victory over Derek Bergen. In February 2026, Max made his professional MMA debut at BFL 86, defeating Daniel Richard by second-round TKO.
