𝗩𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗘 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗜𝗨-𝗝𝗜𝗧𝗦𝗨 𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 Van Isle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a family-owned and operated martial arts academy located in Esquimalt, Victoria, British Columbia. Founded by brothers Jean-Marc and Matthew de Groot, the academy has established itself as a respected part of Victoria's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community, offering high-quality instruction in a welcoming, supportive, and professional training environment. With a team of experienced black belt instructors and dedicated coaches, Van Isle emphasizes technical excellence, continuous learning, and personal development. Whether students are stepping onto the mats for the first time, training recreationally, or pursuing competitive goals, the academy provides the guidance and encouragement needed to succeed. 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 & 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 Van Isle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers a premium, purpose-built 6,500-square-foot facility in Esquimalt, designed to provide a comfortable, professional training environment with exceptional amenities. - 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀: Two separate mat spaces featuring 2,400 square feet of competition-grade mats with impact-absorbing subflooring. - 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Two fully equipped private weight rooms with Olympic lifting platforms, racks, free weights, and conditioning equipment. - 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗮: Cedar sauna available for post-training relaxation and recovery. - 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀: Five private, Scandinavian spa-inspired showers. - 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀: Spacious men's and women's changing facilities with lockers, mirrors, and hairdryers. - 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲: Comfortable seating area with coffee and a water station. - 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽: On-site selection of Gi, No-Gi apparel, and academy merchandise. - 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Free on-site parking and bicycle racks. - 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Optional towel service. 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 With approximately 43 classes per week, seven days a week, Van Isle offers one of Victoria's most extensive and flexible Jiu-Jitsu schedules, featuring early morning, lunchtime, evening, and weekend training opportunities.
